Something wrong.
2000 ton ship, got everything in still have 10101 m3 left? What did I do wrong or forget to add?
Gave the reactor a 5 year life. Jump 4 6 G 10 hours of reaction mass.

Sounds like a good cargo ship, with 1/3 disposable volume on J-4.

Impossible to say without knowing what you were trying to make.

Huscalare. Basically a beefed up Broadsword
Should I put more than 20 turrets on it? More than 5 MFD? Should I put a spinal
in ,but it is not a straight military ship. it is a Nobles ship. Shoup I put
some bays on it?

It depends on what you want it to do.

If it's a scaled-up Broadsword but meant for nobles, the left-over space
could be from the space that would have otherwise been used for troops,
small craft, and vehicles.

Or you may have made a math error somewhere, forgotten a system or something.

I think I did . I will go over it tomorrow. Been a long time since i did FF&S. I
got a company of troops,4J,6G is 10 hours too little thuster fuel?

If memory serves, Jump 4 should be about 40% of displacement.

There's a guy on the list here that has a pretty good handle on the needed
G-turns for BL combat. Is that 10 hours at 6G, so 120 G-turns?

If that is 10G Hours of fuel then at full thrust you will run out in less than 2 hours as you will burn 6G hours of fuel per hour. It also means that if for any reason you were unable to jump it would be possible for a slower ship with more G hours to be able to run you down.

I put some minimal specs into Antti's spreadsheet, and it says a TL15 2k
ton ship, with J4, 6g HEPLAR, 60 G-turns, 89 crew with staterooms & life
support, 20 laser turrets & 5 MFDs but no comms, sensors, vehicles.etc.)
has 8574 m3 left over, so I guess your design has 20G-turns of fuel (1
G-turn = 2 hours) which is nowhere near enough.

I'd want at least 60 G-turns for a ship that has to deal with combat.

Okay I will in crease thrust fuel. I did it for 10 hours at max.

And that's my cue. 10 hours at 4G is 80 G-turns, which I think sounds reasonable. If this is basically a Merc Cruiser for nobles it doesn't need to move with the fleet, just be able to head for a planet fast and take evasive action for planetary defenses and maybe SDBs. If there's more serious space based opposition send in the subsector fleet first to clean the big nasties out. I wouldn't go crazy on turrets and MFDs either, you're basically looking at self-defense against missiles and really dumb pirates.

Check your math, maybe?

Charles--

It sounds like Axel found the oversight. When you do G-turns, you need to
think MAX G times hours, not 1G times hours, which is why I asked that
question last night.
