Thread: Brett's Reavers' Deep

Ah, this raises another question for me. All my work has it as Reavers' Deep because that is how it is written in the Keith Brother's work. However the Traveller Wiki states;

"Reavers' Deep: Alternate name for Reaver's Deep. Although the singular form is correct, so many people believe that this must be a mistake (after all, there were a lot more than just one reaver) that the plural form has become an accepted variant. "

Does anyone know where the name originally appeared?

My guess would be one of the Keith bros' works that they published. I
think maybe Marischal Adventures or something like that. I think they had
a couple of names over the years that I can't recall right now. That stuff
was under official license from GDW during the CT era, but as time went by
there developed a distinction between GDW stuff as official-official and
licensed stuff as semi-maybe-official, depending upon the details.

Marishal Adventures was the imprint the Keiths used to publish their folio adventures. IIRC there was one folio series set in Reaver's Deep - Flare Star, and one standalone - Escape. Other published Reaver's Deep material was "Night of Conquest" in CT Double Adventure 6, Lots of the Gamelords Traveller books were set there too. Reaver's Deep was also the focus of FASA's Far Traveller, the successor magazine to High Passage.

Yes, also JTAS issue 12, Space Gamer issues 48 50 & 53, High Passage issues 4 & 5, The Aslan Mercenary Ships book, The Traveller's Digest issue 16, and the Traveller Chronicle issue 5 & 6, just to name the ones I know of. I have a lot of these.

The Gralyn Union stuff was in TC 6. TC 7 had a planet profile on Aikhiy and part of the Pilot's Guide to the Caledon Subsector, which by the way Marc Miller complied together with the rest of the published Caledon material on his Classic Traveller Apocrypha CD 1.
