Side note here.
There's a guy who lives not far from me who has a 1958 or so VW bug that has
this odd bump on the truck it's about 4" by 2". Now as we all know the
truck on a bug is where the engine is and so after talking to him for a bit
I broached the subject of what he'd done to the bug. Turns out he was
originally from Germany and he'd rebuilt it over there to drive on the
Autobahns. He'd managed to shoehorn a Porsche 911? Engine into the back
end of this thing with 4 motorcycle carbs, 1 for each cylinder. It'd do
about 120 mph on a straight stretch and handled like a top.
