1. Jamming should apply to both and if any thing be more applicable to
passive which by it's nature relies on ambient environment. Of course
jamming itself instantly broadcasts its own source for HARM/FIM

2. Sandcaster concept is very much a product of its time in the 70s being a
manual task/skill. A lock would be needed on not only the missile, but its
deployed laser rods just before detonation and would require precise
timing/tracking. Basic counter-countermeasure would them be decoy rods
countered by computer processing/analysis /tracking of n rods, etc etc.

With the experience of Trophy and Iron Dome, it should be automatic and
work by a computer performing simple vector analysis and coalescing the
sand around the incoming laser automatically (and ignoring those vectors
that don't intersect).

In game terms could/should provide a bonus to the Sandcaster task as it is,
though.

3. DM deal is simple/tactical.
Sandman is ultimately a strategic resolution WRT Solee.

Solee was reactivating their big relic ships with a basic anti Virus
mechanism, no? My conjecture was that such mechanism was going to be
insufficient to deal with Sandman and good chunks of the Solee fleet were
going to be taken over or effectively disabled for the green crews. They
would adapt, of course to better compartmentalization practiced by their
better crews. Probably turning around the misfortunes the Coalition
experiences for most of 1203. Strategically, the Coalition would begin
making use of the virus shipyard Gilded Lilly was leading to, probably
converted to making Clippers and Destroyers. At this point (1204'ish IMTU),
Solee is being boxed in but Coalition is in political danger with prolonged
war (adventure or three) so Maggart has to take a big risk for a large
scale decap /attack in which a PC group or two are vital (perhaps
introducing Sandman into Solee itself on a daring subterfuge).
