No. Not really. But its most enthusiastic users claim that its being "free" means it's better than Cartographer. I have been using the Campaign Cartographer for over four months and there is really no comparison. Autorealm is a bit clunky and unintuitive. Inkscape is better. You have to buy CC3 but I have found it to be worth every penny because of its ease of use. It is a CAD program but once you learn it, it is much faster than Autorealm and, IMHO, Illustrator and inkscape.

I was using Autorealm a few years ago but it was pretty clunky.  Has it improved?

I just want to say that the problem with cosmographer is that you must buy the Campaign Cartographer first and then the Cosmographer add-on. Autorealm is free and also has examples of deckplans using its own symbol libraries. To me, Cosmographer is much easier to use and produces much better results than autorealm but I think you would like to check both of them before making a final decision

Hi all,

Does anyone have any recommendations for software that I should use to
generate deck plans. I've got some ships to create and deck plans (not
to mention illustrations) help breathe life into one's designs. I used
to use pencils and graph paper but as we're in the 21st century, I
should probably go digital. ;-)
