Yes, I almost went on to say, "except for the Virus...and thruster plates,
etc.," but figured I'd give someone else the pleasure of saying that.
Yes, absolutely. In changing things, and in my opinion, changing or
updating or "improving" things was inevitable, I always had a whole series
of tests or rules or threshholds in my mind. And in this case the one in
play was that of widespread "physical data" vs. storyline/history.
Obviously that had been done previously with the "Rebellion," so I/we
wasn't/weren39;t the first. But knowing how many people had already built
their own sector/subsector campaigns, saying, "all of your UWPs are null
and void" is far more damaging than, "the larger world in which your
subsectors exist has just undergone a sea change."
And as we've discussed before, given where we already were, Rebellion,
Hard Times, we had to do something, and collapse and reboot seemed the
most...practical/reasonable/logical.
