No, they are old-fashioned physical paste-up, with plastic screens and wax
and white tape. We only did two or three full electronic submissions to the
printer: H&I and one or two Challenges, around 76 and 77.
While there were electronic files of the page layouts in Adobe PageMaker I
think, all of the art, table screens, and mathematical formulae like square
roots had to be added by hand. Hard to believe, but 1994-5 was really a
pretty long time ago in terms of electronic publishing.
