Any "new" comers to the list, we've had our moments when conversations were either, or both, rather heated/salty and/or moving along at a rapid clip. Getting over 20 emails a day was a bit much when you're at work.

In the past, daily volumes were so high that getting pinged by individual emails was annoying (assuming I was working). It was easier for me to review the day's discussion all at once in digest format at a time that was convenient for me. And since I'd "knighted" Tim with moderator powers, there wasn't a need for me to screen the conversations for bad behavior.But just as there really hasn't been any bad behavior for 10 years, (you're absolutely right) the volume of email has been drastically reduced.
