How are you going to send electricity over a fiber optic cable?

A mega tazer might be reusable. An EMP round/bomb is *not* reusable,
because they use an explosive charge to implose the coil assembly as
it hits peak current. So the coil assembly is turned into a very
small lump of metal and whatever.

Of course, you've got the problem of current the voltage *into* the
target, rather than yous arcing across the surface.

Tazers work on people because human flesh conducts electricity. They
have those spikes to pentrate clothing.

If they can't get close enough to skin, they won't zap you.

A robot is either going to have a reasonably tough *non-conductive*
skin (plastics or the like), or a tough *conductive* skin (aka
metal).

With the non-conductive skin, the voltage can't get in.

Whith the conductive skin, it'll just short the taser. Becuase the
internal circuitry will (of necessity) be insulated from the metal
housing.
