I need to modify that. I used "untruth" because "lie" sounded too grouchy.
But since "untruth" also covers novels, RPGs, etc., it's too broad, as it
would cover, "Here39;s Tolkien's latest LOTR book, and by the way, you have
cancer."
So by "untruth," I actually meant, "statement which purports to be
factual, but is in fact demonstrably non-factual and intended to be
misleading." That just sings in a sentence.
