T5 moving the timeline forward is just another reset, basically. Nobody beyond CotI actually cares about T5 though - heck, I don't think anyone outside CotI really cares what Marc does with the game anymore. They're still trying to fix it and make it usable even though it was supposedly released three years ago. I doubt it'll ever be release in a form that people will think is accessible either. So basically, just pretend it doesn't exist.
I think most people who still like the game seem happy using Mongoose Traveller (or whatever version they had before) for actual gaming. But I'm not sure if anyone new is actually being attracted to the game anyway.
