auctions hmmm, auctions are interesting things in and of themselves ...
been to a few ... it does depend on what exactly is being auctioned but
also the demand, the people that are there etc ... I've seen blankets going
at auction for US $20 - $30 and up, and I've seen a whole trailer of stuff
go for $1 ... it really depends will the house sell for $10k or will it
sell for $50k or more? Another factor can be that the owner decides to
sell "absolute" that whatever the highest bid is it will sell or will he
want a specific reserve met first?
A lot of variables happen in auctions and I've seen them where I believe
that they didn't break even on the sales and some where they made out like
bandits ... rarity and usability both play into what's happening ... the GM
will have his work cut out for him trying to simulate that!
