Thanks, I like that Two Steps from Hell track. And you are right, the dubstep drop is nice. But to me, TNE is 20 years old, so it feels like it needs some older classic rock. Couple that with the conceptual realization I had a few years ago that RCES = Rhodesian Army, and I see a bunch of AC/DC, KISS, maybe even some Beegees, Eric Clapton, Queen. RC is all about using older salvageable technology. Philosophically speaking, an eight-track tape deck wouldn't be out of place on the bridge of a Victrix class ship.
Now I'm not saying that dubstep has no place in traveller. There is one setting that seems made for dubstep: 1248. I can just imagine all those vampire super dreadnoughts with Lucan's personality blasting dubstep, trance and techno as they scour the pesky humans with nuclear fire. But then again, that's 1248 for you. Or as I call it, "Traveller The New Era 1248-- the Heretics Heresy."
