There is obviously a lot of fictional sex being had by the fictive
quintillions in the Traveller universe, but that is well within the
referee's purview. I see enough ED ads and little girls wearing lingerie
as clothing in real life that I don't miss its official absence in an RPG.
The art angle is pretty much inevitable, I remember being annoyed by the
cover of Assignment: Vigilante. When I was younger I could recognize
specific men's magazine photos being used as artist's references and
assume it is still going on. A lot of artists made no secret of the fact
that they were just slumming illustrating wargames until they could get
into comic books, and formal art training focuses quite a bit on the human
form. I was mostly irritated that this focus prevented 90% of them from
drawing an automatic pistol whose slide could actually slide, or howitzer
whose carriage could work.
