I can't find anything that suggests that there is an explicit limitation
on the "rating" of material; the "Keep it PG" apparently has been an
implied thing. My take on this is (1) as long as there are no *explicit*
*gratuitous* references to or descriptions of sex, there should be no
problem, and (2) if Marc feels that there *is* a problem, I will remove
the offending material.
Given that there are some pretty clear implications of ... mutual
entertainment ... in Andrea Vallance's "Funny Fish" stories, and I've
not heard word one about them, I'd guess that a Courtesan career along
the lines of a Firefly/Serenity "Companion" - or the common (but
inaccurate) perception of Japanese geisha - would likely pass muster.
I'd be less certain about a character career that focussed on the
straight-up "red light district" and its "service industry". Honestly,
though, I don't see the *common* sex worker (i.e., red light district
prostitute) as a viable player-character type, whereas the
courtesan/companion/geisha does have possibilities for adventure.
