Well, the one I was thinking of as I typed the previous was "taking a dirt

The opening shot amazes me still, though there's a hidden cut in it it appears to be about a 10 minute long single shot. Its the only movie I've actually watched the directors commentary.

I can't think of the opening shot in Serenity. But I do remember the long
shot in the Firefly pilot where they walk all the way through the ship in
one shot, with just a single hidden cut in the stairwell. And I resent the
fact that we didn't get to see the Ff storyline play out in normal speed,
rather than have to get it all crammed together in a movie where they had
to kill two characters just to pay the "heaviness" freight to be a movie.
And Book's story went from "someday we'll find out" to "Someday you'll
have to tell me..." "No. I don't."

That’s the shot, and yes, I was very disappointed when Firefly caught the axe and the story didn’t get to play itself out.
