was the only major player in the Rebellion to be worth a damn
(in my disgruntled-old-grognard's opinion). He was (or was
written and portrayed as) a genuinely decent man in an impossible
situation, trying desperately to make the -least- -bad- choice
from an array of horrible options to choose from.

Weellllll, actually, I had returned to college, then.
Yup, put twelve years in the Air Force, went to college,
got my degree in two and a half years as a full-time student,
and graduated in Dec. '97, -just- in time for the Dot-Com
bubble to go Dot-BOOM. >;-)
To be honest, I thought it was a possibility that it was later-career
college, thus invalidating my point, but figured that if I made my point
erroneously, the Truth would out, and we'd be in the same place, but by a
different route.
This one makes me look stupider, but still, we accomplished the mission.

Yes, you had the "older Norris" portrait in the RSB. It was on the
same page as the "Norris Biography". That was, quite frankly, an
amazing display of writing between the lines.
Thanks again, Mike. After years of TNE being paved under prequel after
prequel, it's nice to think something worked well, and was received in the
spirit intended.
