I just loved the idea, a polity made up of a Participating Democracy and two Dictatorships - what are the RC going to make of that? Or perhaps I should say, what are the Federalists going to make of that. It encapsulated one of the things I loved about TNE - real life not being perfect, shit happening, and just trying to make the best of a bad thing.
