Has anyone tried to create the Traveller equivalent? And can you do it
for cheaper than $25,000? If something similar already exists in the
game, please feel free to tell me.
I bellieve the variant you're referring to on the post has also been described as costing $35,000 US ... for those that wonder it is supposed to available down to the squad level in short order

I want a Traveller version firing a mini-nuke :) Gotta do some tweaking to the minimum range though...
Would have to be a post-Collapse weapon. Remember, the Imperium severely
frowned on anyone else using nukes, and considering the Marines were all
equipped with FGMP's, I'm thinking nuclear grenades would be somewhat
superfluous for them.

It would be hard to recreate the purported range of the XM25 in TNE as all small arms are limited to a max 300 metres range.

The XM25 is definitely a post-Collapse weapon or something used by pre-Stellar polities in the 3I.
Still, since the FGMP is a direct fire weapon I'd expect the marines and army have something similar at the squad level. It'd be lighter and more effective but similar in concept.
Wouldn't the Imperial Marines have something more snazzy - micro-missiles perhaps?
