Well, the original contest concept was to have three parts: 1120, 1207
and 1248. I wrote up the first two but gave up on the third. If you'd
prefer to have those ships considered for 1120 evaluation rather than
1207, I see no reason why the voting can't stick with my original intent
of separate time periods. But if you want them considered as relics for
1207, it would help to know how they weathered the Collapse (The Gorilla
would make for an interesting viral host ; ) . As a 1207 /new/ design
(as opposed to being a n 1120 relic), the Gorilla could even have a
Peacemaker virus running the operation. I'll leave it up to you how you
want them entered.

All the vessels designed could be used in either setting, though
my home game is closer to 1120 than 1207 as the crew positions
were calculated using a higher automation factor (0.8 x FFS
Engineering) than would be used post virus.
I think the Explorer could be pressed into long range prospecting
in regions that are just too far away for the standard Seeker.
The amounts of Cr to be made by large scale mining and
prospecting may warrant the use of the Explorer scout during
mining operations. Plus it is a great PC ship that I wanted to
share on the list :)
I still haven't designed the subcraft for the Gorilla and it is
fairly low on the list of 'todo' things at the moment. It would
need 1-3 fuel skimmers of around 400 to 1000 displacement tons to
be economically viable and also some smaller tug type vehicles to
physically move asteroids into position and one or more cutter
type vehicles to transfer supplies and personnel. These could be
fairly low tech, perhaps around TL9-10. All these subcraft would
be mounted on the spine of the main mining vehicle during jump.
