I looked through the ML for the year and here's what I found:
/New Dawn /class 100 ton Seeker by Roger Clark Topaz
/Type J /Seeker by Craige Cook
/Balaam //Hector /class mining vessel by Daryl Frewing
/Explorer/ Scout by Craige Cook (?)
/Gorilla/ class Mining and Exploration Vehicle by Craige Cook
Did I leave any others out? There were a couple of other ship write-ups
in the archives but I was given the impression that they weren't
intended to be mining vessels.

Craige:* Is your /Explorer Scout/ intended to be entered? It struck me
as being better suited for courier work or long range exploration. Also,
was it intended for the 1120 or 1207 contest? It struck me as the former.
I also wasn't sure about which time period the /Gorilla/ was intended
for. The tech was low enough to be from any time period but the number
of support craft required implied to me a larger operation more suited
to either 1248 or 1120. That's not to say that it isn't feasible for
1207, just my initial reaction. Your call. =)
Once the entries are finalized, I'll send out the links for everyone to
review the entries (and subsequent discussions) and then put up the poll
for everyone to vote.
Hi, thanks.
All the vessels designed could be used in either setting, though
my home game is closer to 1120 than 1207 as the crew positions
were calculated using a higher automation factor (0.8 x FFS
Engineering) than would be used post virus.
I think the Explorer could be pressed into long range prospecting
in regions that are just too far away for the standard Seeker.
The amounts of Cr to be made by large scale mining and
prospecting may warrant the use of the Explorer scout during
mining operations. Plus it is a great PC ship that I wanted to
share on the list :)
I still haven't designed the subcraft for the Gorilla and it is
fairly low on the list of 'todo' things at the moment. It would
need 1-3 fuel skimmers of around 400 to 1000 displacement tons to
be economically viable and also some smaller tug type vehicles to
physically move asteroids into position and one or more cutter
type vehicles to transfer supplies and personnel. These could be
fairly low tech, perhaps around TL9-10. All these subcraft would
be mounted on the spine of the main mining vehicle during jump.

Craige Cook
