85% of the hull is TL 15. Jump engines and all computers, electronics, and the workstation in the sensor turret are salvaged TL 12 parts. Life support and G Compensators were installed at a TL 10 world along with half the HEPlaR drives (other half were salvaged). All remaining parts, including 15% of the hull (locations 1, 2, and 4) are TL 9. This includes several sensors and communication devices which were installed due to regulations, but are currently unused as the salvaged units in the sensor turret are working out very well.
If the sensor turret ever goes off line, 2 electronics people are required to run the TL 9 communications and sensors, although there is only one bridge workstation allocated for this. (The workstation in the turret can be used if it is still functional.)
Cargo is rated at none, despite the fact that the ship's design has plenty of unused space due to the piecemeal nature of its construction (~126 m3). Also, mass has been reserved for the 2 turrets and 2 barbets at a volume to mass ration of 1:1.5.
One turret socket is typically used to hold a TL9, manned laser turret (with a crew member doubling as gunner) when mining which is leased from the homeworld. TL9 lasers have very low power and are not much use for anything except breaking up large blocks of ice and bluffing. Remaining 2 turret sockets and 1 of the 2 barbets are often filled with leased weapons (again, with crew members doubling as gunners) to help protect mining operations, with any unfilled sockets serving as storage. The last barbet usually contains a RCV station to control the RCV unit used to secure the ACT.
The jump engines are capable of a total volume of 11,600 m3, which is the volume of the vessel (5,600 m3) plus 6,000 m3. Jumping with different volumes uses different amounts of fuel as shown on the following jump table:

Regular Operations
Fuel is the biggest concern for the Balaam (often referred to as the Frankenstein by the crew). After taking into account a two parsec jump while towing the max load, remaining G-truns are listed as 29 @ 1 G, but this is a little deceiving as that is 1 G with no payload. Really, the remaining amount of G-turns will depend on the mass of the material being towed. If the volume to mass ratio is 1:1 (i.e. towing 6,000 m3 massing 6,000 kg) then the remaining G-turns after a 2 parsec jump are calculated as follows:

AAAAHHHHHHH My sister's in hard labour!!!! I will finish this another day. Needless to say there is a way around how tight the fuel is, but it's not a common practice (except when towing asteroids).
