It won't be easy, the best you can do is come close and you'll have to
redesign them entirely from the bones. There are too many differences
to make it simple. I'd suggest you chuck the designs and find TNE
designs, there are many and most of the HG designs have been
translated over the years. I can never recall which was ships (SARA or
BARD) and my links aren't handy but they used to be out there on the
web. There should be several in this group as well, check the files
and search the posts.

If you still want to try the best I can offer is a translator so you
know what the High Guard designs are telling you. Even with that,
without a full understanding of High Guard it won't be possible to get
a good conversion. You'd really need to get High Guard and learn it
first, but here you go:

The Universal Ship Profile (USP) example:

BC-9514 Kinunir BC-A2447G2-000510-50202-0

Explanation:

BC-9514 Kinunir = Ship number and name as applicable

BC = Ship type code, in this case Battle Cruiser

|

A = Tonnage Code, the size of the hull, rounded in this case, should
also be listed after the USP

2 = Configuration Code, the hull shape (see below)

4 = Jump Drive Rating

4 = Maneuver Drive Rating

7 = Power Plant Rating, in hex (basically 1-9=1-9, 10=A, 11=B, etc
(skip I and O)

G = Computer Code, no easy translation to TNE (see below)

2 = Crew Code, should also be listed after the USP

|

0 = Hull Armor Code, no easy translation to TNE

0 = Sand Caster Code, no easy translation to TNE

0 = Meson Screen Code, no easy translation to TNE

5 = Nuclear Damper Code, no easy translation to TNE

1 = Black Globe Code, no easy translation to TNE

0 = Repulsor Code, no easy translation to TNE

|

5 = Laser Weapons Code (Beam or Pulse), no easy translation to TNE

0 = Energy Weapons Code (Fusion or Plasma), no easy translation to TNE

2 = Particle Accelerator Weapons Code, no easy translation to TNE

0 = Meson Weapons Code, no easy translation to TNE

2 = Missile Weapons Code, no easy translation to TNE

|

0 = Fighters Code, no easy translation to TNE

After the USP should be the cost and tonnage. Then two lines below
that showing how many of each weapon and how they are grouped
(batteries bearing and batteries) and the crew count. After that
should be the passenger accommodations (high or mid) and low berths,
the cargo tonnage, the fuel tonnage, the EP rating (x250 for MegaWatts
iirc), the ship's agility rating, and the ship's troops total (if any).

Configuration Code:

1 Needle / Wedge (streamlined)
2 Cone (streamlined)
3 Cylinder (partially streamlined)
4 Close Structure (partially streamlined)
5 Sphere (partially streamlined)
6 Flattened Sphere (streamlined)
7 Dispersed Structure (unstreamlined)
8 Planetoid (unstreamlined)
9 Buffered Planetoid (unstreamlined)

Computer Code:

1 = 1
A = 1 fib
R = 1 bis
2 = 2
B = 2 fib
S = 2 bis
3 = 3
C = 3
4 = 4
D = 4 fib
5 = 5
E = 5 fib
6 = 6
F = 6 fib
7 = 7
G = 7 fib
8 = 8
H = 8 fib
9 = 9
J = 9 fib

No easy translation to TNE, fib is a fiber backup model to resist
radiation attacks and is double the size of the base model but equal
performance.

It's the ships from 1248 book 4 The freedom League and i only play TNE
rules so was looking for help converting, the stuff below is a great
help/good starting place.

Thanks
