Yeah, I've got this one. Again, it's for vehicles, not robots. I can try adding a robots worksheet to it.
Thanks.

It’s a book 8 design sequence, but may give you what you need...(?). Can’t recall if I sent this to you, previously.
You do have the ‘striker’ spreadsheet, for vehicles, yes? That’s pretty portable, for robots, but not what you’re looking for, I’m sure.
Not sure if you’ve got either in the ‘files section’?

Subject: [Traveller_TNE] robots
Hi all,
Does anyone have a robot design spreadsheet? I've been trying to reverse engineer the models in Vampire Fleets for battle-worthiness but my brain is mushy, and I have no patience for mushy brains.
I like the design sequence that was in MT-Robots (a pdf put out in 2011 by a host of Traveller vets with FFE approval), but they're treated like vehicles. Normally it would be fine, but I've combat scenarios to deal with and I never really liked combat in MT--much less understood person vs vehicle combat in that system--so I have no idea how to translate that to TNE. I'd much rather approach it from a TNE aspect as its combat system makes more sense to me.
No, none of the spreadsheets in the files section seems tailor made for robots. Vehicles and spaceships, yes. Robots, no.
Ok, ok. I'll get off my lazy ass and sit on my regular ass and modify it. Sheesh! I would've thought all you gearheads would've done that years ago. =)

I'll do some digging around in the vaults. Worst case, start at page 71 in "Vampire Fleets" and it shouldn't take terribly long to transfer things to Excel. Something to do on a rainy Saturday afternoon perhaps.
I was thinking along these lines as well, if you have vehicles sheet, you pretty much only have to add in the Vampire Fleets material....

They probably did, but the right guys won't catch up on their inboxes
until after you make your own version, and then your version and their
version will be different and cause controversy, and then you'll have to
split the list.

Won't be a problem if I don't share it. I'll do something heretical so that no one will want to use it. ;-)

Yeah. I'm talking to Don McKinney off-list about some old Striker MSs he's
trying to identify. I designed a family of vehicles back when I was in
college that had suspensions that extended outside of the hull, which
Striker didn't really deal with, the assumption was that suspension was
tucked up beneath the hull. There were two ways you could handle it,
either say/pretend the hull was wider to account for the suspension, or
allow the suspension to extend outside the hull proper. I believe I went
the latter route, which caused the designs to get hung up in rules
interpretations for...basically forever, I guess.

One of my roles is 'finder and reviewer of lost manuscripts39;. Several of these have recently come into play. One of these is a partial manuscript for "Far Traveller #3", which has in the table of contents a listing for designs (entitled Urshag's Fighting Vehicles), crediting 'David C. Nilsen' but has no attached designs. Another discovery in an old box are a stack of dozens of Striker designs labeled carefully on each design "Urshag AFV". I'm currently trying to find an author for the designs.
