Thread: My Old TNE Stuff

3 posts.

As some of you may know I still have a website covering both a straight TNE game, set in the Banners Sector and a variant with a different drive system. Now the site has not been updated for nearly two years. Assuming I get time to update it what would people like to see put up?

In the future I intend to use the Mongoose Character generation system with the TNE equipment rules (saves a lot of redesign work).

Hi Antony,
First I enjoy you site. The number of ships alone rivals BARD, please, don't drop any. I go back to your site often to see what you have done and even the TL-6/7 Space Planes have a place and work well for the early stages of a recovering world's first steps back into space again. I also like the HT Drive, nice alternative to the J-Drive, just change the L-L range to Parsecs and it will work. Also I found on your site a Warp Gate, great idea. Ran a campaign in the G-Reaches using a single Gate, we nicknamed it sling-shot, government called it the Alien Alternative Transport Tunnel. Love to see you bring that back.
I would like to see the three governments fleshed out a bit more. Goals, rivals and some personalities and corporations in the polies.
Also it would be great to flesh out the subsectors around the Alston League. Sort of like Path of Tears did. One or two lines about most of the worlds in the subsector and the important worlds getting even more detailed. Also more ships in the 200-500 ton range, on bigger ships the PCs seem to get lost in the crowds.
If you do not have the time, you might try something like the TML land grab (sadly I came to computers to late to join in on that) but if you give a thumb-nail sketch of what you are looking for, well, I wouldn't mind taking a swing at the plate.
Your HT Drive. I just picture some designer in his garage coming up with a new electric starship drive and selling it to the Coalition. as the PCs are told they are the lucky ones to be the first to prove out the drive two other captains in the background are heard to say, "You try it. "No, you try it!" "Hey I've got an idea, lets get the PCs to try it"
Roger

You should have named it Alien transport (via) Alternate Tunnel, and see how long before they get the joke.
