The CelestiCon team is working hard to get the convention ready for you all to have a good time and they have asked me to pass on a few dates and bits of news for you.
We will have Frank Chadwick as a special guest and a number of TNE fans (myself included) at the convention. But we don't have any Traveller: TNE events, and that would be fun.
Jeff Hiatt, our Event Director, says we have had a flood of events coming in at the last minute, so he will be happy to accept event proposals until midnight on Wednesday the 25th. If you would like to submit a TNE event, please go to www.celesticon.com and click on "Run a Game". GMs get complimentary admission and a "priority slip" to help them get into another game they want to play in.
To get the hotel's convention rate of $85/night you have until August 19, but it might be good to reserve as soon as possible.
