Inspired by the subject line, I wonder if anyone built a laser that was
powered by a helium balloon discharging across a pinwheel.
Although that sounds like just one more of my dopey remarks, the thing
about it is that kind of thinking is exactly where the charm in some genre
games comes, like the steampunk stuff, or the techno-magicky universes.
Which is why game design was so rewarding: there was hardly a topic or
thought you could have that couldn't apply in some form to something you
were working on.
