The argument has been made to GDW that so long as Traveller is black books
with colored stripes it would never grow to include new players, but just
keep appealing to the same aging cohort. Those who prefer the black books
counter-argue that you don't get new players with exciting cover art, you
get them by existing players recruiting in new ones. On the other hand,
the tradition of SF novels indicates there is something to Boris Vallejo
covers.

I think at one point someone suggested we could put a design sequence in
FF&S for giant gladiator robots.

We did do a design sequence for powered armor somewhere, didn't we?
