[Traveller_TNE] Subject Header Protocols

Part of thread: [Traveller_TNE] Subject Header Protocols · 0 replies

Hi all,

With the explosive growth in post volume, I have to send out a reminder regarding list protocols. This is the part of the job I hate to do but it must be done.

Please remember to use "OT" or "OFF TOPIC" in the subject line when discussing non-Traveller related things like scanner protocols, living in Japan, micromachines, and so on. There are plenty of people on the list who don't want to read those things (and have filters set up to weed out properly formatted subject lines), or at least be forewarned that the incoming email (or portions of the digest) have nothing Traveller related in them.

Also, please make sure your subject header offers some bit of info about the contents of your post. "Silly Question" or "A Question for the Group" or "Wondering" or any other vague wording is useless. "A Question About Solee" is fine. "Ship Design Question" is good too. "OT - Scanner Question" works as well. "Wondering if Norris had Big Feet" and "Daydreaming About Dulinor" would work too. :)

Many emails are in compliance. Many are not. Please don't feel singled out. I just took the most notorious examples that popped out at me.

Thank you for your cooperation.
