Palladium did something like that for one of their sourcebooks. Essentially you have an intelligent supercomputer that woke up after the disaster and it sending robots everywhere. You get into the base by using its old partner (it cyborged a scond persone recently, and the old partner wants revenge) to find the back door.
Getting down to the main base, you see this giant room with robots all standing around, performing maintenance, patrolling, etc. The center is this giant organic brain with all sorts of cyberwear plugged into it. Th walls (assuming the PCs scan them) are heavily armored.
So the PCs manage to blow up the brain, but the sheer number of robots means they have to leave. For the next few days the robots are busy patrolling, looking for the intruders.
The catch - the brain has told nobody that it is really elsewhere in the facility, and is only the size of a shoebox. The supercomputer knows human psychology, where humans expect a giant threat to defeat, and provides it. The armored walls are to prevent damage to the rest of the base, not protect the superbrain.

While I have yet to look it up someone told me that the phone in my hand has more processing power than all of NASA did when they put a man on the moon. If true I find that at once aweinspiring and terrifying.
