Yes, I'm the guy responsible for neutrino detectors going away for TNE. :-)
I still keep my hair short. Never had much use for it even though I'm the one guy in my family who didn't lose it at an early age.
My story about Steve shows how cool-headed and quick thinking he is. The GDW team (you, Steve and the marketing guy whose name I can't remember) and the guys from Vanderbilt were on the mezzanine level of the Atlanta Hilton and Towers when Steve made a comment about this rather attractive woman wearing a catsuit on the level below. I looked down and saw that it was Bill Burns, a professional female impersonator who always placed in the Betty Page Look-Alike contest. I mentioned this to Steve and, without missing a beat, he says, "I hope he has a sister." I think we all got about two hours a sleep a night over the five days of that convention.
