The material is used with my permission. DonM from CotI, which also are involved with T5 asked me for permission before it saw print.
In the Vargr book, the world names and the subsector names I came up with are being kept. Allthough many of the original UWP stats from the original vargr module has been changed. Oruelaen, a psionic security force I made for the Thirz Empire made it into the Vargr book too though. But not much information is given about them. You can read more about them in my take on the Gvurrdon Sector. Found in the Gvurrdon Sector Campaign Book, which you may download from my site.
In the Zhodani book I was asked to read the stuff about Vargr and make sure that it was coherent.
I am not bitter, but it is ironic that all the work I did in the late 80ies and early 90ies did not get published. I tried, but I think at the time of MT GDW had very little in the way of vision to were they wanted to go, thus explaining the mess MT ended up with as no one at GDW was really paying attention to the product line at all. Hadn’t it been for DGP, Traveller may have died long before TNE came out. Even though the material DGP gave out wasn’t supporting the Rebellion setting, it at least kept Traveller in every ones minds as their writing for most part was great.
