Hey! That link just vanished (401 message). That is one of the weird things about the Net: How old data can just hang around forever, and then evaporate in a flash on a second trip to that URL.

It was there for me (watseco on buyusa.gov). Or were you referring to buyusa.gov on google?

 

If it was one of Google's text banner ads that you clicked on, it won't linger. There's a whole schema based on what an advertiser is willing to pay to have their ad appear and how many times/day they want to have that ad shown. The next time that page comes up, the next person in line gets it. It's like an auction house for ad space. Verizon and AT&T/SBC/SNET have similar methods on their search websites.
