Starport Module for Mercery

Part of thread: Starport Module for Mercery · 0 replies

This is a prepackaged class-C starport but can also be used as a terminal of a regional airport. The cargo hold contains enough space to hold four 700m3 disassembled/dismountable fuel tanks that upon landing can be assembled to act as above ground fuel tanks. The remaining 230m3 can be used to store sheet steel and forms that could be used to build a "Quonset Hut" style hanger large enough to house two Far Traders of a 400 Ton ship.

Airlocks: 3

Notes:
As with the cargo modules before, the Starport module has three airlocks. One to port (front), one to starboard (off engineering), and one forward (off the controller room) and four large cargo airlocks. One to port (that becomes the main passenger entrance) that opens onto a small departure lounge, galley and starport manager's offices, one to starboard (off engineering), two aft (that give access to the cargo and maintenance bays. If the module is placed on a world with a breathable atmosphere the life support and G-compensators can be deleted saving MCr 2.8 and 50.4m3 and the airlocks and cargo airlocks can be replace with cheaper hatches.

Please enjoy the design
