POLL QUESTION: *137-1206*
The Voshkohd Corporation is looking to purchase several
small ships of 200 tons displacement (though we are open to
bigger or smaller ships if they can pass muster) to head up
its new mining operations division. Since most of Charted
Space is still in ruins, functioning starports are scarce
in the Wilds. As such, the ship should be as self-sufficient
as possible, including the capability of wilderness
refueling. Crew accommodations may be spartan if it means
that the ship's robustness is assured.
_
_*Jump Range: *Two parsecs. We feel this will give us
greater flexibility to skip over hostile worlds, systems
that don't have reasonable wilderness refueling potential
and small interstellar gulfs.
*Armaments: *Obviously the ship should be hardened against
Virus, utilizing the best anti-Viral technologies available.
Ship's armaments are left up to the discretion of the
designer. However, a ship which can not return with its
cargo and crew intact is of no use to us.
*Tech Level: *No limitations. Bear in mind that we'll be in
the Wilds. While exotic technologies are wonderful to have,
finding replacement parts will be difficult. Sophisticated
technologies that don't work are junk.
*Cost:* Price is a major factor. Despite the progress made
by the RCES and other polities, the ruins of the old
Imperium are still dangerous. We anticipate losses. While
crews are irreplaceable, we would prefer our ships to be.
Please provide full design specs and costs.
