Yes, it's a scam, but not likely perpetrated by the original owner of the email account. A friend of mine had her email account hijacked (it was on hotmail) and the password was changed so she couldn't fix it. Same story and everything. I'll alter the owner's account so that all messages have to be approved before posting. If that doesn't work, I'll just have to give 'em the boot.
