uhm, by your counting maybe, but travellers uses displacement tonnes at a standard of 14m^3 i believe? but displaing what? water or liquid hydrogen i can't remember 8-)

Nope, 1000 cc = 1 liter

1000 liters = 1 m^3

1 gram = 1 cc of water
1 kg = 1 liter of water
1 tonne = 1 m^3 of water

Density of X g/cc = X kg/l = X tonnes/m^3
