I sat down last night and wrote down everything I used for a week 

that could be considered to be expendable, and I was surprised at 

how few a things there were.  

Yep it adds up real fast don't it.

Weekly maintenance, what does this entail?  

This all depends on how worn-out your gear is, TNE has a great rules

mechanic for this.

If the weekly maintenance was funded from this Cr2000 per week along 

with food, water, medicines, T-Paper and laundry soap then the 

Cr2000 begins to make some sense.  Imagine how much it costs to do 

maintenance on a 747, the closest thing to my Firfly.

Yep. that is part of it....

This will work if you are going from port to port every two weeks, 

but if you are going into the wild on a recovery run the ship 

captain will have to pack extra food and maintenance parts on board 

possibly turning one passenger stateroom into a pantry. 

I tend to include dedicated storage for life support good in my designs,

but as a player I have packed additional supplies in every conceivable 

space on our ship. down to laying down a layer of boxes on every non

access deck, i.e. raising the deck level by the height of the boxes used.

This is why 

I asked "How much food could a low berth hold?" 

Going back to Worldtamers, a one months rations for a single person

has a volume of 1 cubic meter and a price dependent on quality, base

price of 1000cr.

It would be the 

ultimate refrigerator.  

This real depends on what model you use for coldsleep.
