Traveller System Generation

I'm afraid I've been cheating for years. I change the "M" star into a "K" star, usually a K-7 through K-9V star.

I guess it would be easy enough to put a world, or tfwo or three in one of these "micro" orbits, but I have my dobuts about it being a habital world, or just a warm world.

What is the correct HZ for these snowball stars? does anyone know???

What is the orbital speed of such a world, and could a ship land on one?

The star would have to be benign, even a hint of a flare would cook the world

Three worlds this closly packed, are they in the same orbit? Interesting!
If not in the same orbit, then as one world passed by anouther tidal stresses would turn them into **** worlds that would make Io look like a garder spot.

For me I might make make a one in six roll to give a M-star a micro orbit and maybe another one in six roll to allow multiple worlds. To dodge the tidal stress factor I would have them in the same orbit. To dodge the landing problem the world could use the pilot-boat and specialized pilot approch,or build a station in say Traveller standard orbit 1 and ship dock here and people and cargo are trans-ships on local ships owith local pilots.

I guess I love my Traveller (and T2K) as is so I will still fudge the Ms to Ks, though it still is has interesting possibilities as an oddity system, maybe one or two per subsector.

Thinking about it, such a system could be an interesting starting point for a RC like campagn. I could see an unprepaired Virus attacking the system and getting stopped cold, like the Germans in a Russian winter, while the locals went ho-hum about their business, and now want to go out and help others.

Perhaps the Ancients have been mucking about again? WHAT they got blamed AGAIN? What do you mean AGAIN?
Sorry I just couldn't resist that last, I just love to blame them for everything, even that blizzerd we just got.
