That sounds like something we might have discussed, especially if you
recall us polling the TML.

I don't have a clear recollection of "a decision," so maybe it wasn't a
real serious proposal, but a one-off thought we wanted to run past people.
Certainly we intended to do 2300 and other settings later, so maybe the
discussion was part of some long-term plan there...

Decisions like that are the sort of thing where we would have gotten a lot
of input from the distributors, retailers, and other assets Frank had
access to via GAMA. When I think about the sort of stuff they were telling
us as we were going into TNE development, I'm sure that's where the answer
will be. I know what I think the answer is, that the distributor/retailer
feedback was that players would want it all at once, that they'd be honked
off at rules without background, and in that period of time campaign
settings and story arcs were really big, before the grognard movement
started. But I'll try to chew on these threads of memory (to mix a couple
metaphors) for a little bit to see if anything more concrete bubbles up.
