Assume photo! I can just see the PCs going on vacation while their ship gets its an maintenance done, and something happens. Or a big gambling convention and they are security looking for cheaters. Murder on the Orient Express type mystery. Or a Guild or pirate spy is meeting a contact onboard and the PCs have to find, or recover the information or spy's contact. Maybe they are the contact and are passing false information, setting up a trap for a enemy ship, this just screams someone wanting payback in the future. Or hired as extra security because "someone" wants the ship to never fly or to crash. Or the PCs are onboard for various reasons and first meet. They band together to survive something, use RL cruise ship problems. My favorite, the captain and crew abandon the ship because the lifters prove to be fatly and are allowing the ship loaded with passengers to slowly sink into that beautiful backdrop. Be funny if no one picked the survival skill and someone thought to run into the ship's library to came up with a book on survival. How confident would the passengers be if the PC started to read out of a book entitled "How to Survive Cruise Line Disasters for Dummy's" Chapter One; If your reading this, YOU ARE TOAST.
