Hi Harold, I like what you did with the system. I've gotten into the rut of looking at the UPP and picturing the main world and never giving a thought about other destinations in the system! A J-Hawk crew could make a good living just going to out system destinations, places where the heavy haulers would turn up their noses at going.
I see your point about Ganymede being to hot for a normal military base and Callisto being more appropriate, but I could see Ganymede being desirable as a military research base. Just the thought of being microwaved on approach would serve to keep most people away. I can see black ships with heavy dampers flying into underground hangers.
When I saw Eris way out and the end of the system I pictured a shipwreck station. Maybe a 29 ton quarters module next to a space where someone had cleared the rocks of a bit of ground and maybe a few wreaks dotting the area.
