And back at Tim's post, the more I think about HW being in Massilia A the
more I think, "I guess that's where they wanted it, I assume they knew the
trade-offs," because that really is an odd place for it to be, given the
Black Curtain. The HIWG leaders should have been aware of all that stuff
because of the F2F "summit" we had along with other communications. But I
can't help but think that our first recommendation would have been to put
it a little more off to one side where they wouldn't get stomped on. I
have to assume that Massilia was something they had done a lot of recent
work on so knew its resources well, that they thought that was a good,
long-time Imperial stomping ground, and wanted to be where the action was.
I don't know if Jim or Roger on this list can provide me any reverse
azimuths on that or not.
But I am pretty sure that at least the leading edge of their HW articles
got into Challenge, and I also have a strong sense that we had a stack of
them ready to go into ensuing issues of Challenge, had that gone on. Some
of that may have wound its way into some of the unpublished stuff I think
Marc may have collected and released. But I have even poorer memories of
that, as it's just hearing things 2d or 3d-hand.
