GPSOR Mk. III
design by Derek Stanley and Michael Vallencourt
Nebula Entry
Incredibly common during in the Scout sevice of the 3rd Imperium
the GPSOR (General Purpose Scout Operations Robot) could be found just
about anywhere. GPSOR's were generally deployed as observation drones
to monitor and record the lifestyles of the multitude of primitive
cultures scattered throughout the Imperium. The GPSOR became
particularly
popular with Imperial Navel Intelligence who ulitized the drone to
monitor suspected subversive organizations.
With it's small chassis (0.1 cubic meters) and exceptionally quite
ducted fan propulsion system the GPSOR was considered the ideal
surveilance drone.
Though most of these small unarmed robots were destroyed during the
collapse the large numbers produced insured their survival into the
New Era. With literally millions laying demolished around the ruins
of the Imperium replacement parts are incredibly easy to come across.
