Kviir Grav Sledge

Nebula Entry
The Kviir (old name for "golden eagle" of Terra) is one of the
first practical grav vehicles. Kviir combines some of the
features of Harrier, Nighthawk and Osprey aircraft with
contra-grav technology
The Kviiris a multi-role grav sledge which uses embedded
turbofan thruster and CG lifters. Since wings are not needed for
lift, the Kviir uses winglets only for high-speed manoeuver.
Low-speed manoeuver and hover is done with vectored thrust.
There are five versions of the basic vehicle
K1 is unarmored civilian version used for transporting cargo
and passengers.
K2 is hunter/scout version with shortened hull.
K3 is armored personnel carrier, capable of carrying an 8-man
squad and giving them anti-tank/anti personnel support. When
seats are removed, then K-3 can carry 12 m3 of cargo, 6
stretcher patients, or 5 stretcher patients and two medics
K4 is fire-support vehicle.
K5 is heavy gunship version.
All Kviirs except the cargo version have the same basic weapon
load, consisting of a 20 mm 6-barrel autocannon, two 7.62x51 mm
ETC 6-barrel gatling machine guns and four 4-tube package
launchers for 120 mm laser-guided anti-tank missiles,
All weapons are mounted on hull spontoons with limiter traverse,
and can turn to fire up to 30 degrees off the center line.

Notes
The K-2 version has smaller hull with better sensors and larger wings.
K-2 is capable of true winged flight and may conserve fuel by turning
off the GC lifter and main power plant.
Small HRT sensor, Ladar scanner and laser designator are placed on a
telescoping sensory boom above the hull, allowing hull-down scanning and
aiming.
