Stringbag-Class Biplane
design by Idiot/Savant
The next advance from the Mosquito; a larger and faster
aircraft, the classic Stringbag is both heavier-armed and more
maneuverable than its predecessor. Like the Mosquito, its twin
forward-firing machine-guns are equipped with interrupter gear, and
it mounts a light bomb-rack for ground-attack purposes.
Combat in these primitive craft is a dodgy prospect at best,
as they burst into flames and fall out of the sky at the slightest
provocation, and the cramped crewstation leaves no room for a
parachute. On the other hand, the lack of fire-control equipment and
short range of the weaponry means that it requires great skill to
even hit the enemy. Thus, the pilots of these low-tech vehicles
regard themselves as something of an "elite".
The plane was designed with Fire Fusion & Steel.
